This Privacy Policy describes how Keepivo collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. It applies to the Keepivo mobile application and the keepivo.com website (together, the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Keepivo app, we collect the information needed to provide the Service:
- Account information: email, name, username, authentication provider, and a hashed password when you use password sign-in. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, Apple provides a private relay address instead of your underlying address.
- Home data: home names, descriptions, and member names and roles.
- Asset information: names, types, locations, makes, models, and dates.
- Task information: names, schedules, assignments, and completion records.
- Purchase records: plan, purchase status, processor identifiers, and entitlement history.
- Photos (optional): images you choose to scan are sent for AI analysis and are not stored permanently.
- Google Calendar data (optional): when you connect Calendar, Keepivo receives permission to create a dedicated "Keepivo" calendar in your Google account and to create, update, and delete Keepivo task-reminder events only in that calendar. This permission cannot see or change events on your other calendars. Calendar access tokens remain on your device or in your browser session, and Keepivo stores the identifiers of the calendar and events it creates so it can update or remove them. Keepivo does not retrieve unrelated calendar events.
- Apple Calendar data (optional): when you connect Apple Calendar, iOS grants Keepivo full calendar access so you can choose a writable calendar and Keepivo can reliably create, update, reconcile, and delete the task events you sync. Keepivo reads the available writable-calendar list and stores the selected calendar identifier, Keepivo event identifiers, and a random app-install identifier in order to reconcile those events. Unrelated event contents are not uploaded to Keepivo.
- Campaign attribution (when applicable): campaign source, medium, campaign name, ad content or search term, referring domain, first landing path, and a small set of acquisition steps such as planner completion, account creation, starter-plan save, checkout start, and purchase completion.
When you visit the keepivo.com website, we and our service providers may also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed as part of delivering and protecting the site (see sections 3–5).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Authenticate your identity and keep your account secure;
- Process AI analysis when you choose to use AI features;
- Sync tasks with Google Calendar or a calendar available through Apple Calendar when you enable that feature;
- Process and verify purchases, grant paid entitlements, and enforce plan limits;
- Operate, measure, and improve our website; and
- Communicate with you about support requests and important changes.
3. Browser Storage & Campaign Attribution
Keepivo marketing pages use first-party local and session browser storage to remember the first campaign that brought you to the site and the limited planner steps completed in that browser session. Keepivo sends a random session identifier, campaign fields, and four allowlisted events (landing view, planner start, planner completion, and app handoff) to its Supabase backend for aggregate funnel measurement. The event record does not store an IP address, user agent, cookie, device fingerprint, email, or home data. If you choose to open the Keepivo app and authenticate, the random session may be linked to your account so we can measure whether a campaign led to a useful plan or purchase.
The web app also uses browser storage needed for sign-in and in-progress handoffs. You can remove browser storage through your browser settings, although doing so may sign you out or clear a plan that has not yet been saved.
4. Advertising
Keepivo may buy ads on search engines, social networks, or other publishers, and those services process information under their own privacy policies when you use their sites. Keepivo does not display third-party ads on keepivo.com and does not currently install third-party advertising pixels on the new-homeowner campaign page. Campaign links may include standard UTM parameters that Keepivo processes as described in section 3.
5. Analytics
Cloudflare hosts, delivers, and protects keepivo.com and processes ordinary web request data for those purposes. We may use Cloudflare’s aggregate Web Analytics on the marketing site to understand traffic and page performance. Keepivo’s authenticated funnel measurement is limited to the allowlisted events described in section 1 and is not used to build a cross-site advertising profile.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the Service work:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account and home data.
- Google Gemini AI — optional AI asset scanning and maintenance suggestions.
- Google — optional Sign-In, Google Calendar sync, and Google Play Billing for Android purchases.
- Apple — optional Sign in with Apple, on-device Apple Calendar access, and App Store billing for iOS subscriptions.
- Stripe — hosted checkout and web payment confirmation.
- RevenueCat — iOS and Android purchase status, entitlement verification, restoration, cancellation, expiration, and billing-retry handling.
- Cloudflare — website delivery, security, and aggregate traffic measurement.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
7. Google Workspace API Limited Use
The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keepivo uses Google Calendar API data only to provide the user-facing calendar-sync feature you choose to enable. Keepivo does not transfer Google Workspace API data to Google Gemini or any other AI/ML service, and does not use that data to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational AI/ML models. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to determine creditworthiness.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain account and household data while your account is active so we can provide the Service. Calendar mappings are retained while calendar sync is connected or while they are needed to remove a Keepivo-created event. Purchase and transaction records may be retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Diagnostic reports are retained only as long as reasonably needed to investigate and prevent service problems.
Account deletion removes the active account and account-linked application data from our production service. Limited copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or security logs until the applicable provider’s normal deletion cycle completes, or longer when retention is legally required. Such residual copies are not used to provide an active account and are removed or anonymized when the applicable retention obligation ends.
9. Your Rights & Choices
You can access, correct, and delete your data at any time through the app settings, and you may delete your account entirely. You may opt out of AI and calendar features, and you can clear first-party browser storage as described in section 3. Account deletion also deletes account-linked marketing attribution and funnel events. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them. You can also start deletion without access to the app from our account deletion page.
You can disconnect a calendar provider in Keepivo. Apple Calendar permission can also be revoked in iOS Settings, and Sign in with Apple access can be managed in your Apple Account. Revoking permission stops future device-calendar reconciliation; it does not automatically delete events that were already written to a calendar.
10. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children may participate through Family Member Profiles created and managed by a parent or guardian; these profiles do not require an account or email address.
11. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and Row Level Security that isolates each household’s data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
